Online Class in partnership with

cayuga birthplace

This class used to be taught as the hospital birth class. Since CMC is not hosting classes on campus- we wanted to make sure the community still had access to this class. Although anyone is welcome to join, it will also include information specific to birthing AT Cayuga Birthplace.

Class Outline:

Part One: Pregnancy Nutrition and Exercise, 3rd Trimester, Signs of Labor, Phases and Stages of Labor, Hospital Logistics

Part Two: Birth Planning, Unmedicated Pain Coping/Movement for Pregnancy and Birth

Part Three: Navigating Interventions (Induction, Pain Medication, and C-Section)

Part Four: Recovery, Local Resources, Newborns and Introduction to Infant Feeding

Format:

Schedule: There are no limits on number of participants, but we do need at least three individuals/couples for the class to run.

Each class will be held over ZOOM. After each class, students will get a follow up email with a recording of the class, additional resources and access to password protected content on this website. (Because classes are recorded, students don’t have to attend the class live, and they will still get a recording of the class to watch at a future date. Recorded content will be unavailable after 4 weeks, but the emailed and online materials will be available anytime).

Pay Structure: The cost of this class is $100. However, if you participate in programs like WIC, or MOMS, you are eligible for a 50% discount. Please contact me if this applies to you.
